Add and subtract hours and minutes

Inputs

Durations (one per line)
1:30 2h45 -0:20:30

How it is calculated

Each line is turned into seconds (1 h = 3,600 s, 1 min = 60 s).

Result

Total (h:min:s)

3:54:30
In decimal hours
3.91
In minutes
234.5
Durations added
4:15:00

How it is calculated

  1. Each line is turned into seconds (1 h = 3,600 s, 1 min = 60 s).
  2. We add the lines and subtract the ones that start with “-”.
  3. The total is turned back into hours, minutes and seconds.

Example

1:30 + 2h45 − 0:20:30 = 3:54:30, which is 3.91 hours.

Good to know
