Cron expression explainer

minute hour day-of-month month day-of-week

Result

How it is calculated

  1. Each field accepts *, lists (1,15), ranges (1-5), steps (*/10) and English names (JAN, MON).
  2. When both day-of-month and day-of-week are restricted, either one matching is enough, as in standard cron.
  3. Next runs are computed in your device’s time zone.

Example

0 9 * * 1-5 runs at 9:00 Monday to Friday.

Good to know

  • The 6-field format (seconds) and extensions such as L, W or # are not supported.
  • The server running the job may use another time zone.
